Summary
Robby subtly stepped away from the crowd, turning back to the hall that gave them access to the interior of the dojo a few minutes before without drawing anybody’s attention. He’d seen that said hall was also connected to another part of the dojo, as it continued towards the other side too, and right now he was hoping it led him to Tory.
Unbelievably so, it did.
The boy found her sitting on a bench near one of the changing rooms, hugging her legs and laying her head on top of them. It was a depressing sight, and he never wanted to see it again.
He approached her slowly, not wanting to scare her off.
“What are you doing here, Robby?” Tory asked, not moving one inch from her position. The question made him stop in his tracks, surprised she’d known he was the one looking for her, but immediately started moving closer once again, because there was nothing actually surprising in him wanting to make sure she was okay.
“I could ask you the same thing.”
or,
Robby notices Tory leaving the dojo before her match before anyone else and does something about it.
