Summary
Shadow Milk, not even in his deity life, had experienced intimacy but as the Fount of Knowledge, he once dreamed by the window of his spire, looking up at the shooting stars. He once believed in foolish, made-up fantasies, wishing up above for someone to love him, to be there for him. Now, looking back, his patience granted him a woman he’d adored, until her heartbeat stopped, knowing she had lived, loved, and was loved truly—even if she found it in a beast undeserving of it.
