This is a “Ripple Effect” fix.
While I love the hug that Sam and Janet get at the end of that episode and while I sprinkle that far and wide across the interwebs using the gif I obviously had to create of that wonderful scene… my question about that episode has always remained:
Zero interaction other than that hug, really? Really!?
So, I rewrote the episode and laid out a little pre-episode S/J backstory to get us off on the right, lovey-dovey, flirty foot.As for the rating: there is an explicit chapter. There is also mention of domestic violence / rape having occurred in one character's past.

Atlantis Military personnel have been left alone onboard the city as they sit in the San Francisco Bay awaiting for guidance from the SGC and IOA about what their next steps will be. But when military members are left to their own devices without any of the civilians there to stop them they do as any military member would do while trapped in port. They start ordering supplies and making contingency plans.

Summary
SG-1 is playing basketball together at the start of Beachhead and I decided that should be something they do regularly, with more or less every different sport I could think of. I'll probably get around to talking about how Jack and Teal'c box and Sam and Daniel lift weights together too. I grew up watching this show and love how many little details there are to find on every new re-watch. I will find a way to incorporate blue Jello into this fic and/or die trying.
