Summary
Since they were little, Leonardo has been the one to be there for his brother in what emotional confort implies.
Raphael was the one that takes care of them and is there for them like a parental figure, Michelangelo is the therapist and Donatello the genious that comes up with gadgets and has a lot of knowledge.
Leonardo was the face-man, the analyst and the comical relief, the doctor of the family and the one who knows how to deal with his brothers when they aren't feeling well and didn't want a lot of feelings involved in the interactions but also didn't want to be alone. Neither of the other three knows that Leonardo is the same towards the three of them, and Leonardo doesn't mind if they know or not, it's their choice to tell the others how they feel. But Leo doesn't tell them when something is wrong with him, in his words that would just "make them feel worse, make it like their problems doesn't matter and add more work to him" so he just stays silent, because, if he isn't the doctor and the emotional support of his brothers, what is he?
