At first, Parrot had felt immense relief that soothed the ache in his bones and filled the hole that had been left by Wifies’ absence… but seeing the man standing before him right now reminded him of that memory at their lodge in the snowy mountains, the snap of the fishing rod, and the death message that had appeared in chat, the grim reaper announcing his acquisition of yet another player— taking Wifies away from him forever, just like they’d done with Dean.
He remembered how the invisible player known as The Director pried Jumper away from BAT, shot Nufuli in front of the rest of them, and tried hunting him down so many times…
“…You’re not him. You aren’t Wifies.”

But all villains get caught eventually. And now, Parrot is forced to redeem himself alongside Spoke and Wemmbu (two maniacs who might really be villains), and show that he is not, in fact, a supervillain. Or, you know. They all die.

I stood there in the snow waiting for the Director to show up. My wings ruffled in the snowy weather, shaking from nerves. The Director my panic and anxiety source for months-
The Director.
“You remember you trained the dog?”
“How do you know that?” I asked, my confusion was evident.
“You should know that, there’s nothing I don’t.” The Director paused, “Could you sit it up for me?”
I slowly walked over to the dog and tried to make it sit up, but it just stared at me. I tried again, and again. “This isn’t my dog?” “What. This is not my dog, wait.” But the Director was already walking back outside.
“You know, I thought about what you said, Parrot. About me being a coward, but you know, I realized maybe someone has to be a coward if that’s what it takes.” We stopped walking, and he turned around to look at me.
“You realize you're still a coward, right? You still framed me, you still killed all these people, and you did it while you were hiding yourself from the server. Wifies is still alive, that’s what you're trying to tell me? What. Did. You. Do. To. Wifies.”
“Parrot,” he pulled out a milk bucket, getting rid of the invisible effect. What I saw nearly brought me to my knees. -

Maybe in another universe Parrot and Wifies could've been happy together. In this universe though they go through a lot of heartbreak. They both love each other but only one can recognize those feelings but will never say them out loud.
