Summary
In his capacity as Peter Lukas' assistant, Martin dresses differently. The pale hues and muted blues of his family are smeared all over Martin like an bruise. It's formal. It's professional.
For reasons he's not willing to examine right now, Jon cannot handle this. At all.

Summary
Jon sighs and shakes his head again. “I don’t know how to—I found a tape, Martin, that’s all, and there was some, uh—God, does it really matter? Can we just—just keep on, keep taking statements and you can tell me what you actually came in here to talk to me about and—”
“It really doesn’t matter what I came in here for; I’m worried about you now.”
Jon shoves his hair back with one of his trembling hands, head dropping so Martin can’t see his eyes anymore, and that’s not right at all. “Don’t be.”

Summary
It all worked out in the end: Peter was going to marry Elias, leaving Jon free to date Martin (although disappointing Tim, who was neck-deep in wedding planning) and everyone could then concentrate on preventing the end of the world, or whatever else it was they were planning.
Then Peter found out what else Elias was planning.
A romantic comedy in several parts.

Summary
Then, one morning, when Martin wakes up feeling, uh, tender, in the chest area, with mysterious dots of wetness on the front of his sleep shirt, right on top of his nipples, he finally relents. He grabs his phone and starts doing some serious googling.
And then he wants to scream, because there is, in fact, a word for what he is currently experiencing. And it’s a word he really dislikes, because it makes him feel like the worst sort of type O stereotype, melodramatic and histrionic and manipulative. And apparently there's nothing to do but wait it out, because, while there are suppressants for heat, and abortions for actual pregnancy, there is no medical treatment for a hysterical pregnancy.
