Summary
Vash draws in a shuddering breath, blinks tears out of his eyes to see Nai's face inches away from his. He focuses on the curve of Nai's jaw, follows it up to that little mark nestled under his pale lower lashes, from there meets the ice-blue of his brother's eyes. There is neither pity nor disgust in them, but something other. Something glossy, shimmering, something Vash knows and doesn't know.
Vash and Knives' confrontation takes a sharp turn, one that makes their invertible parting just that much more tragic, both for them and everyone involved.
