Summary
During the war, Mevolent is trying to better himself as a leader. The responsibility he has taken on is not lost to him. Through pressures of the court and church, he finds himself finding respite with an unlikely young lady who shares his keen interest in philosophy. The duo are intellectually matched but oh-so different with their ways of thinking. He provides a challenge for her, she provides him with a new outlook that leads them into a charged romance.
