Just as a clear picture of the familiar constellations is forming in his head, a presence behind him grabs his attention. Henry doesn’t need to turn around to know who’s there.
“Can’t a man have a moment of peace?” Henry asks on a pleased exhale.
“With me around?” Alex teases. “Not likely.”
Without averting his gaze from the sky, Henry takes a step back from the railing, towards Alex’s ever-present warmth. It’s only a moment before there’s a soft shuffling sound, as Alex closes the distance, and warm fingers intertwine with his.
