Summary
Helena Bertinelli is the sole survivor of the Bertinelli massacre carried out by the legendary assassin Deadly Nightshade. Found blood-spattered and hiding in the Casino cupboard, Nightwing gives her a second chance at life. Unwilling to hand her over to the crumbling foster system, she is put in the care of Bruce Wayne, surrogate father to Dick, Jason, and Marjorie.
For six months, Deadly Nightshade remains at large, evading every attempt at capture. That is, until the night she shows up uninvited, forcing Helena to co-exist with the woman whose hands are stained with her family's blood. Unaware of the reality, Helena tries to find her footing in her new life, but tangled, volatile loyalties make that harder.
Tension fractures the Park Row trio, turning family dinners into painfully awkward affairs, and it runs deeper than anyone will admit.
