“Wait!”
I don’t quite know why I called out to him. My life would certainly be easier if he left. but I can’t quite help the feeling that I should talk to him. I do have tons of questions I want to ask, I mean, who wouldn’t?
He stops, looking back at me in surprise. Shit. I didn’t plan this far ahead. What do I say now? Why do I want to say anything? I open my mouth to speak, but no words come out… I feel embarrassed now. Saving me from saying something stupid, he throws me a sly smile and gives an overly dramatic bow before placing a hand on his heart.
“Julian.”
And just like that, he’s gone. I’m left sitting in lost silence, mouth still agape. My brain is scrambled.
I have a huge mess to clean up.
