Summary
The guy is tall. Not like six foot eight tall, but he has a few inches on Sebastian. That’s not what stands out the most about him though. What’s weird is his skin. It’s an ashy gray, just barely a shade that can be called human. And his eyes – a dark crimson. What on Earth?

It’s getting late and everybody begins to say their goodbyes. Sebastian thinks he’s off the hook from having to talk to Knox himself, when Knox suddenly turns and makes direct eye contact with him, flashing a wide, toothy grin.
This startles him and he glances away for a moment at the uncomfortable connection. When he glances back a moment later, Knox is back to exchanging goodbyes with everybody else.
Okay. Uncomfortable. Not weird, he supposes. But uncomfortable. They haven’t said a word to each other this entire time, Knox hadn’t even looked at him until now, and his smile just seemed a little too excited, and the look in his eyes…
