Summary
Izuku Midoriya has always been good with his hands.
Not with fighting. Not with words. But with clay, with stone-with pieces of the world he can break and rebuild into something beautiful. Art is the one place where he doesn't have to be afraid.
It's senior year, one final art project that Izuku has been looking forward to since Mr. Yamada had hinted at what the assignment would be.
And Izuku gets assigned Katsuki Bakugo.
The boy who made childhood a battleground.
The boy who still looks at him like he's nothing-and now Izuku is supposed to look back. To watch him. To study every line of his face, every tension in his shoulders, every flicker of something that maybe-just maybe-isn't anger at all.
It's a project meant to capture a person and Izuku isn't sure he can survive seeing this one so clearly.
But as the sculpture takes shape beneath trembling hands, so does something else: an understanding neither of them are ready for. And when everything between them has been carved out of years of pain, what happens when the pieces no longer fit the way they used to? -
