Sometime in the early morning hours, where the light fog shrouding the surrounding forest was starting to become visible, Ilya awoke after drifting off and found himself in Shane's arms. Seeing the faint orange slit in the sky outside, Ilya knew morning was approaching and 一though experiencing a cocktail of love drunkenness, existential anxiety, excitement, and sleep deprivation一 was reminded that ahead of him was another day of feeling fully like himself with Shane. Especially on this day, when he felt like nothing could possibly be better. Ilya watched as the sky illuminated, covering everything in a soft golden blanket of light. While tracing circles on Shane’s forearm he debated waking him up, but when he felt him sleepily kiss the top of Ilya’s head he decided he’d rather die than keep Shane, who never seemed to rest enough, from sleeping. Becoming antsy, Ilya hatched a plan to let his thoughts and anxiety breathe a little bit.
