The jester—Avery, D3rlord added consciously—stared at the other for a few seconds, smile becoming rather unsettling after a moment. "You do ask a lot of questions, don't you?"
"Says the one who keeps replying to mine with questions of his own," D3rlord muttered to himself.
Avery gave an exaggerated sigh, the notion still almost regal in its nature. "I suppose I do. Maybe I'm just curious about the person in front of me who, might I add, completely ignored my warnings about coming down here."
OR
D3rlord finds a rather on-the-nose book in a strange mine while exploring, piquing his curiosity and leading to him meeting one of the oddest characters he's ever seen.
