Summary
Arthur really isn't one for one night flings - especially not with men. But there must have been something about this man from the saloon that really caught his eye, to take him back to bed with him. Course, it was reckless, but it ain't like he'll be running into his again any time soon. After they meet this new potential recruit, they will be heading up to their latest settlement for the winter and he can just keep this night how it currently was - just a hazy, but fun memory.
(In which, Arthur's words really do come to bite him in the ass.)

Summary
Arthur Morgan and Charles Smith—two outlaws on the run from their past—find solace, trust, and eventually love in each other as they break away from Dutch van der Linde’s crumbling gang.
Basically, Arthur finally admits he has feelings for Charles after they've unintentionally intentionally left the gang and the aftermath.
In my opinion, the story is a lot better than this description, I just can't think anymore lol.

Charles parts his lips just a moment and Arthur goes limp. It ain't right. Charles ain’t kissing back. Arthur opens his eyes and Charles’ are blown wide. His lips ain’t parted in invitation, but surprise. Arthur’s an idiot. Got this all wrong.
“Forgive me.”
Charles is looking at Arthur, taking in his pale pink face and his petal thin skin. The dark circles around his bloodshot eyes. Charles huffs softly, and his lips pick up in the most infinitesimal smile. His gaze drops to Arthur’s lips.
He’s gonna kiss me.
“No.” Arthur jerks away. Not like this.Charles pities him. Gonna give him what he wants because he’s a damned man. Give a dying man an IOU; he ain’t gonna ever collect. But Arthur ain’t dead yet. He’d have to live knowing he weren’t really wanted. Loved, sure, but not the way Arthur aches to be loved.
Just once in his life.
