Summary
Some years have passed since Mark escaped Billy Hendricks but that doesn't mean he escaped the situation. His grandma knowing she wouldn't be able to protect him forever, decided it would be best for him to move away from everything in a new place, a lot of people have been moving to lately, the void.
Mark is understandably scared of this new experience but little does he know that his grandma has already asked a nice young man to help and keep his many eyes on her grandchild in her stead, and this guy happily does it since he loves old people, and slowly they start to enjoy each others company even with some bumps on the way.

Avid stumbled back against the wall, getting as much distance as possible without leaving the room.
“You brought a vampire into our dorm!?”
“Avid.” Drift sounded exasperated.
She was sympathetic to his concerns, but she never actually believed him when he discussed vampires being real–because they were.
“It’s not a vampire, its just a poor little bat that was caught in the storm.”
“Yeah–a vampire bat!”

Or, Scott crashes into Avid and Drift's dorm window during a very strong storm, and Avid is having a time.
