“Please,” Alicent sighs, though she can’t fully mask the hint of amusement behind her voice. “Don’t sing Avenged Sevenfold to him, Rhaenyra. The last thing I need is for him to get obsessed with heavy metal.”
Rhaenyra lifts an eyebrow, a mischievous grin curving her lips. "Oh, come now, Alicent. He could use a bit of edge,” she teases, casting her friend a sideways look.
Alicent shakes her head, though she can’t hide the faint pink flush in her cheeks. “You are a terrible influence, you know that?”
“Maybe,” Rhaenyra replies, her voice low and warm as she looks down at Aegon, who is busy now with a newfound fascination for the pendant around her neck. “But he seems to like me.”
Alicent’s work never stops--and neither do her worries about Aegon. When her co-worker Rhaenyra finds out she has a son and offers to babysit, it seems simple, until its not.
