So, like, maybe Bakugou wasn’t really the best choice for this whole pizza delivery shindig.

(Midoriya in love, Bakugou in denial, and way, way too much cheese.

A BakuDeku romance in thirty minutes or less. )

    Summary

This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.

Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.

Until, of course, he eventually does.

(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.

There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”

In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)

The barista was a pretentious young man in an expensive shirt and delicate wire-rimmed glasses. His dark hair fell past his collar like he was some sort of art student.

"Iced black coffee, no sweetener," Luo Wenzhou ordered. He wasn't picky about coffee as long as it wasn't decaf or instant.

The barista gave him a long, slow blink, eloquently expressing his opinion of the grandpa who had just walked into his shop with such an unimaginative order.

    Summary

As the headless body of Irontomb shatters, Khaslana falls with it. Captured in a small window of time, somewhere in between the pages of Irontomb’s defeat and the ending, he drifts aimlessly in the space between. His porcelain wings fracture and crumble; the searing beneath his skin subsides. The Destruction chips off of him in tiny, glittering pieces like stars, crackling into nothingness, leaving Phainon raw and aching, eyes shut tight. 33 million cycles turned to dust.

Time stutters and starts, the past is muddled with the present, and Cyrene floats with him, parting through the layers as she reaches out to touch his shoulder.

“Sleeping now that the job is done?” she asks fondly, quietly. “You deserve it, of course, but there will be time for that later. I’d like to speak to you first.”

or: Cyrene, the Demiurge, officially meets Phainon
