The new Robin spun around, immediately on guard, his stance shifting into a defensive position. “Who the hell are you?”
Dick almost smiled at that. Yeah, definitely a Robin. “Just someone who’s been around the block before,” he said, stepping into the dim light of the streetlamp. He took a closer look at the kid, at the suit. It was different from his, but the echoes of it were there—the same colors, the same symbol.
“What do you want?” the kid asked, his eyes narrowing. “I’m kind of in the middle of something here.”
Dick actually smiled at that. “I bet you are.”
or
After a fight with Bruce, Dick leaves Gotham with no intentions of coming back. When he does return, he finds a new robin has taken his place. Despite everything, he bonds with Jason and eventually Bruce, with the promise that nothing bad would happen to Jason like it did to him.
He shouldn't have been surprised when that promise was broken.
(or or, i try my hand at starting and ending a story with the same sentence but they have a different meaning each time.)

Jason is the red hooded ninja tasked with caring for a young Damian Al ghul. He is still wrecked from his death and prompt resurrection but the pit heal most of him. He now has a mission instead of being a zombie he’ll take back what was his and save what he loves.
