Summary
"Did you find him? Did you carry him to his hut in your arms, did you nurse him back to health, did you sit vigil by his bedside, as he has done for you? Or did you leave him to lie alone on the forest floor, betrayed and friendless?"
So asks Caius Insidius in Asterix and the Dream Whisperer. He brings up these things that have happened over the years and twists them to make Obelix seem like a selfish, uncaring brute, only a fair-weather friend, to the point that Obelix decides to leave the village, believing that he'd be protecting Asterix from himself.
Of course, Obelix couldn't have known what happened to Asterix that day. He came back looking quite unharmed, so Obelix never had a reason to ask, and Asterix didn't feel the need to tell him.
But what if Asterix couldn't come back unharmed? What if Obelix found him? And what buried doubts would it bring to the surface?

Summary
A sort of missing/alternate scene from Asterix the Legionary, in a timeline where it happens after Banquet What-If. The new recruits are asked to undress for a medical inspection before they join the Roman army, as in canon, but things are complicated a little by what Asterix is hiding under his shirt.
