Summary
When controversy, financial issues, and a worldwide pandemic cause FIFA to decline toward bankruptcy, its managers decide they need some momentum if they want to get attention again. So they launch The Beautiful Game- a special edition of the World Cup.
Argentina, France, Croatia and Morocco are four of the thirty-two teams that qualify for the The Beautiful Game. Like the others, they unknowingly commit to the true purpose of the tournament when they land in Doha. What they find is not what they expected- a deadly game of cat and mouse hidden from the rest of the world, one with high stakes designed to end them all unless they catch the killers.
But it gets harder when teams split apart and players fall in love. And it gets harder and harder to leave The Beautiful Game.
