Summary
Arthur never had fixed expectations of what awaited him after death. But waking up topside and realizing that the entire life he had build for himself had been entirely his imagination, was definitely the worst option of them all.
And, well, reality is not always the better option.

Summary
The conclusion Minho has come to after nights spent thinking of wavy brown hair when he spaces out during Jeongin’s kids shows, days spent with his eyes skimming the beach for a glimpse of honey skin, is that humans have an interest in the unknown.
Jisung is a new character in his day to day, the first in ages, ever since Hyeju got hired as a lifeguard. Jisung is pretty and he’s from the mainland but he seems to be setting up a life here, and Minho knows nothing about him besides his name. His brain has inexplicably latched onto a weaved story, a routine thing he and Hyunjin do, because humanity craves to learn more about the unknown.
The Jisung in his head is separate from the Jisung on the beach, though they look the same. A temporary annoyance, a psychological torment.
(OR: Minho, left to care for his younger brother after his parents death, works to make ends meet and doesn't have time for distractions. Jisung, a free-spirited and very distracting surfer, moves to town and turns Minho's world on it's head.)

Summary
“It’s cute, isn’t it?” Minho says, sounding excited. “I keep seeing these fun videos everywhere. Cats vlogging their lives visiting markets and coffee shops and doing nothing. I thought the kids could do this too. It’ll be fun, but also maybe they’ll get famous and people will send us free stuff.”
“Lee Minho, I didn’t expect you to partake in the exploitation of children,” Jisung teases, but he finds it beyond adorable.
(A tale of a rapid rise to fame, a love that burns like a volcano, and an Instagram account managed by Soonie, Doongie, and Dori.)

Summary
Minho's used to silence. He's used to the way the villagers avoid his eyes when they visit him asking for help, the way they look at him with fear and distrust when they think he can't see. He's used to his world being the sprawling garden within the old ivy-covered iron fence and the familiar warmth of the cottage. He's used to it just being him, his cats, and the old journals.
It isn't until a villager somehow wanders into the garden despite the enchantments that he's faced with how unbearably isolated he's become, or how hard it is to open up to someone after years of being alone— or how freeing it is to know someone understands him.

Or, the one where Minho is a lonely village witch and Jisung is a plucky village boy who's determined to befriend him.

Summary
“It’s bad for your health,” Minho said, a little too loud, not really thinking. His body was tired. His brain was even worse—fried from work, dulled by the cold.
The boy flinched but didn’t run. He turned slowly, eyes shadowed but curious. “Should’ve told that to the younger me who thought it looked cool,” he said with a strained chuckle.
Minho took a breath. “I’m Minho. You?”
The boy stared at him for a second too long. His eyes were tired. Maybe he wasn’t that young after all.
“Jisung,” he said. “Han Jisung.”
Or
winter—longing, liminal spaces, and the warmth that comes with the rain, or the snow, or whatever it feels like in the moment.
