Jesper had to keep himself from shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot as the piano player stared at him for a long moment, brow furrowed in concentration. “Oh yeah! You were the sparkly one,” he said, the realization dawning on his face. “With the- with the hat.”
Oh good, Jesper thought morosely, he remembers me. “Yeah,” he sighed. “That was me.”
Wylan plays piano in a bar and Jesper drunkenly flirts with him one night, then comes back sober to apologize. The rest, as they say, is history.
