Summary
You have an eating disorder and are plus size. The Straw Hat crew saves you and takes you with them on their journey. Sanji shames you for your size and does not understand your situation. Eventually he realizes, apologizes and helps you work through your mental illness and heal, then falling for you. But can you forgive him completely?
Just a warning, I am writing Sanji's view toward larger women a bit more extreme than it actually is. The purpose for writing this for me was to try and like Sanji as a charater again and maybe do the same for others who have seen the show and picked up on the same coding as I had. Although I adore One Piece and think it is an amazing show, I can not ignore the fact that it has very fatphobic and homophobic themes. Sanji was on of my comfort characters before he was shown having a bias towards a specific woman. In fact, some scenes that I am talking about cause me to relapse in my own eating disorder. Because of this, I can not look at Sanji the same way. In writing this I am hoping to fix my view of him so I can eventually enjoy his character again.
