Summary
Fódlan, the land ruled by the goddess Sothis, had a few customs foreign rulers were expected to follow during diplomatic visits.
First, all discussions between rulers of the land were to be done in front of the public; this was to prevent those with power from conspiring in deals that benefitted them at the cost of their people, something that enraged the merciful goddess greatly.
Second, consorts of rulers, if they had any, were to attend the meetings alongside their spouses, for behind every great ruler was a wise consort, as well-versed in the affairs of their kingdom as the ruler.
And finally, the royal couple was to set a good example for the people, with the consort serving the ruler and the ruler properly rewarding— or punishing— them as appropriate.

Or, in which Sothis has a physical body, rules over Fódlan herself, has a Fuck Temple full of sexy priestesses, and require visiting rulers to have public sex with their consorts as part of diplomacy.
