Summary:

Philza Minecraft wasn't getting any younger being the lonely old man, but it didn't stop him adventuring through the Nether, though a certain shapeshifter didn't think so.

In his boar beast form he protects the bird man by scaring him out of the Nether. The boar definitely wasn't suspecting the old man to keep coming back.

Chapter Text

Philza's POV

The house was lonely, even with all the trophies he got from his adventures, the bird man was yearning for something he didn't know.

The world around him has gotten dull, so he went on adventures, though it was starting to get dull itself, he has seen almost everything already, but today he saw a weird structure while flying.

It had a purpley see through liquid, Phil had landed and stuck his hand through, it didn't feel like a liquid but instead like humid air.

He smiled, it was something new to find out, the excitement of something new struck him, taking out his sword from the seethe before fully going into the forigen object.

The blonde man looked around to see a red world instead of a green  and blue one. Then he felt hot, looking down a cliff he found that it was all lava.

Philza decided to suck it up, and continue his adventuring and wrote his discoveries in a notebook he had in his pocket of his clothes.

He noticed a lot of multiple different kinds of pig species, some had their skull showing, some that are normal, some that are 4 legged animals.

only the hogglins would attack him currently, he took a bunch of notes, he did not feel like stopping.

He had put away the sword since he decided he didn't need it since almost every animal wasn't vicious.

He also saw an enderman, it felt amazed that they could also live in the place he named the Nether.

He left from exhaustion of spend god knows what time in the Nether, his hand watch was spinning out of control.

Of course in anticipation he came back with none of his gold, silver, wooden jewelry and with lighter clothes than his other outfit.

He took bark samples of bark wood and leaves, the fungi, the shedded fur he found on the ground.

But when he got near what he named piglins, they were going after him, that caught him off guard, but he flew up in the air away from the hoard trying to attack him.

'Maybe it's not the right day to visit?' he thought as he flew away to a soul sand valley, his wings were getting tired, so his option was to walk through the horrid sand.

He saw a ghost-like figure floating around, it didn't see him so he couldn't tell if it was hostile or not, but he sat down and wrote it in his notebook.

In mid writing he felt something huff on his neck, he slowly turned around to see a beast that was like a hoglin, but it wasn't.

Phil slowly got up, dropping his notebook, slowly withdrawing his sword. The beast's fur spiked up like a cat threatening their upcoming victims.

The bird man took a couple steps back, waiting on the beast's next move.

It walked forward along with him,  the blonde didn't attack him yet, he would rather not kill anything without it being for survival.

The man started getting scared, each time he would back up the beast would take just as many steps forward, it was not backing off.

Phil had no choice and swung the sword at the beast, cutting into its arm.

The beast roared and bared its teeth at the birdman, the blonde shrieked and took off flying.

When Philza got to the portal he went through and laid down on his back, his heart was racing, he was lucky he was still alive.

The way home felt different, he felt lighter, he felt around to find that he dropped his book.

He had to go back for it, but he decided not to go back today, the beast was probably still mad.

The next day he was scared, waking up, deep in his gut he could feel the regret of having to go back.

In prep in case the beast was still there and wanted to make sure he was prepared, grabbing a bow and a sword that has been enchanted with a power V.

He stalled all day till 7pm, then he left to get the book that he held dear. It was from his late wife, who he loved with all of his heart.

Finally he went back to the portal he went into, then he regretted going into it, the beast was waiting for him at the portal.

The book in it's mouth, slobber covered it all.  'It must be smart.' Philza thought as he looked over at the wound, it had scabbed over, but it was still bad, the birdman pitied the beast, slowly he walked over to it.

It's fur started standing up as it tense up. "I'll leave you alone if you give me the book." He whispered to the hoglin like beast.

He didn't growl though, the blonde took a chance and tried to take the book from its mouth.

The beast stared at him, "Please drop it." The beast didn't answer him, of course it didn't instead it pushed Phil back to the portal and threw the book in.

The male stared at the beast, "Are you telling me to leave?" No answer, of course.

Philza took a deep breath and slowly raised his hand, patting the pig like beast's head.

It closed its eyes, unlike how rugged the beast looked it's fur was soft.

Sighing, his inner adventure side wanted to stay and go collect more things.

Giving the beast that now reminded him of a domestic dog  a scratch behind its ear before going into the portal.

Walking out he saw the book, quickly picking up from the ground, then he heard glass shattering.

turning around he saw the portal's passageway gone, the only thing left was the base.

Philza clutched his book to his heart, he'll go back soon to find a way to work the portel.

He want to show the beast, no his future pet, a new life with him.
