Summary
If there were any truths to the world, it would be that tragedy exists in everything. Every babe brought into the world at the expense of the pain of its mother. Every mouth fed by the slaughter of an animal. Top to bottom. Bottom to top. Misery to bring joy, joy at the behest of misery. This was how he saw the world. Perhaps the entrenchment of tragedy into life is why so many myths and legends ran on it. Why every hero must clamber over it; why every villain leaves it in their wake.
No – Technoblade did not expect tragedy in his life. He was assuredly not a hero.

Tommy knows everyone has a breaking point. He’s seen Wilbur stretched thin from the stress of leading the team, Niki nervous to the point of tremors, and Zak turned despondent from unfulfilled personal expectations. Tommy’s also been told he’s needlessly harsh on himself, which results in periods of such severe insecurity it gets to his playing. So he knows, perhaps more than anyone, that everyone has a breaking point.
He just hasn’t seen Alex’s. And that scares him. Through all their ups and downs, through Piisces’s worst year of 2023, through all the backlash Alex got from not delivering on performances after Merci was nerfed into the ground, he’s never seen Alex break. Alex’s Alex no matter what happens - always smiling, always pleasant, always the same humble boy.
It’s a puzzle. Alex’s a puzzle. And Tommy is determined, for Alex’s own sake more than anyone else’s, to put the pieces together.

It's mostly perfect here, because there is currently one extremely pressing issue that neither Techno nor Dream have addressed so far.
That issue being Dream's destroyed wings.
He hasn't seen them since the escape a few days ago, bundled into the warm softness of this nest, and, if Dream could get his way, he'd never want to see them ever again, never want to see what's been done to them, what he did to them.

He stopped to look over himself in the mirror. His hair was still dripping and he had a couple bruises littering his face. Tommy also took note of the small scrape at the bottom left side of his jaw. He definitely looked like he’d gotten into another fight. His family was definitely going to be worried about that, he might even get a scolding from his dad about fighting. He was not looking forward to that tonight.
He sighed as he approached the door. Slowly turning the knob and pushing it open. Whatever he was expecting to find at eight something at night, it wasn’t this. In front of him sat his brother in a wooden dining chair, with a few drops of blood on his yellow sweater, holding a handful of tissues to his nose. His father stood in front of him, ice pack in hand, black wings bristled from worry. They only seemed to stand up more as the older man looked over Tommy.
“What the hell happened to you?”

For 3 years he’s been wandering, trying to find a place to call home, until he comes across a household of 3- Phil, Technoblade and Wilbur Craft. It doesn’t take long for the 3 inch boy to grow attached to the small family and longs to be part of their world. But after a series of unfortunate events cause him to grow, he becomes lost in the human world and is found and brought unknowingly back to his home by Phil.
Trapped at size he doesn’t know how to navigate, he must work out how to change back without revealing his secret to the Crafts, which is proving challenging when they’re secretly trying to adopt him.But Tommy can’t possibly have a life with them now he's big right?
What would they do if they ever found out what he really was?

"You think they were innocent, mate?" And Phil laughed, something dark and humorless. "You exiled your own best friend because Dream told you to, half the people in this country turned their backs on Wilbur and Tommy, including you!" Phil hissed, matching Tubbo's venomous tone, his fists clenched tightly at his sides.

Ranboo couldn’t help but chuckle. The sound echoing off the walls, which did startle him before remembering the curse allowed them to speak to those willing to listen.
The cave seemed to be quieter then it ever was. The two humans froze in fear. He could almost feel his sister and brother lean forward even if they couldn’t actually move. The pink- long haired man turned and snarled
“ who’s there!” He yelled, eyes flicking about the dark cave.

He felt the uncomfortable feeling of being watched so he glanced over at the emperor. He only had a few ideas as to why he was staring at him. One he recognised that ranboo had weapons one could only have if they were the emperor’s army at some point. Two, he was taking note of the troop number on his shoulder along with his personalized number. Or three he recognized him from the few times they had been on the battlefield together, but that wasn’t likely since they hadn't spoken once together. He was only one of many children the emperor had to look at and send to their deaths.

Ranboo makes a weird face as he also pulls out some stickered covered envelopes, most with sloppy handwriting with the castle's address and their troop number then each one had a personal number. Ranboo was pleasantly surprised to find one with his number written in much more elegant writing; it was still shaky as if the person writing it was crunched for time. Ranboo glanced at the return address and smiled.
It was a school address, that was really cute. Ranboo tucks the letters away into his journal.
