Chapter Text
“SHIN RYUJIN!”
Hwang Yeji’s infuriated yell could be heard miles away and it sent shivers down the spines of everyone who had heard it.
When Yeji passed by the hallway, many of the students that saw her giggled under their breaths, quickly shutting up when Yeji sent them pointed looks. The girl was covered head to toe in hot pink slime and it was clear how angry she was about it. Some of the students swore there was actual steam coming out of her ears.
A student looks at the scene with his eyebrow raised. “Another one? Wow, Ryujin’s really on a roll. Four pranks in two days.”
Amusement shines in his eyes when he remembers how Lee Chaeryeong trudged to her History class with soaking wet hair earlier that day, mumbling curses against the Shin girl under her breath.
“She got slime all over Yeji, dumped a bucket of water over Chaeryeong’s head, put gum on Jisu’s expensive shoes, and smeared lollipop juice all over Yuna’s designer bag.” The student frowns. “I want to say she’s being a jerk and going too far but the other four have basically done the same things to her and each other as well…”
“Yeah.” His friend hums. “I mean, I suppose it’s entertaining and the gossipers are gonna have a field day with this but…” He shakes his head. “I’m just surprised, I suppose. Aren’t they tired of the constant fighting?”
“They’ve been doing this for years now. I don’t think they’ll get tired of it out of nowhere.” The other sighs as he slings his backpack over his shoulder.
What he had said was true.
The five girls; Hwang Yeji, Choi Jisu, Shin Ryujin, Lee Chaeryeong, and Kim Yuna have all been in some sort of war since diapers. For a little background, they each were the heir of a rich family.
For Yeji, it’s the Hwangs. For Jisu, it’s the Chois and on and on.
Their families each had a popular business and had deemed each other rivals due to the fact that they were always so close in sales and were apparently ‘competing’. The students of Seoul High knew there was more to this rivalry than what was told to them, but no one ever found out anything further than the information given on the internet.
Anyways, because of this rivalry, as the heirs of these businesses, the five girls felt the need to hate each other. Whether it be through things like petty pranks and tripping each other in the hallways, the five would always find a way to annoy each other especially in school.
The constant petty fights were actually quite entertaining to some. On the other hand, it sparked curiosity in some others.
Many questioned why the girls hated each other so much. While it could just be because of their families, there was a possibility it could be something more and that possibility made many desperate to find out more about the girls only to get nothing.
Ryujin suddenly appears on the other side of the hallway. “Aww what’s wrong Yeji-ah?” She asks in her sickly-sweet tone making Yeji grow even more angry with each second that passed.
Seeing how Yeji was literally about to explode, the student and his friend sent a quick glance to each other. Telepathically, they both agreed they wanted to get out of there as fast as possible before shit hit the fan.
Walking away from the inevitable chaos waiting to happen, they suddenly run into a furious Choi Jisu coming out of the girls’ bathroom.
Jisu sends them a glare before walking away.
“What’s up with her?” The student asks with a raised eyebrow, his friend laughing nervously. “Err, did you not see her face?”
On Jisu’s face, enormous amounts of blush covered the areas around her eyes and she was holding a crumpled up letter in her hand. A letter from the person who did this. According to the person who did this, (most likely Yuna judging by how Jisu was mumbling curses against the Kim heir under her breath.) she was aiming to make her look like a sloth.
It was clear though that her main goal was to embarrass her.
“Let’s just…go to gym class before anymore weird things with those five happen. I don’t even care if we’re extremely early.” The student shivers. The two continue to walk through the hallways, trying to get to the gymnasium without encountering any fights.
They seem to fail though as when they turn a right, they see Kim Yuna on the ground glaring up at a smirking Lee Chaeryeong. Students surrounded them with their phones out and widened eyes.
Chaeryeong must have tripped Yuna or something similar to that.
“You did this on purpose didn’t you?” Yuna spits making Chaeryeong’s smirk widen. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” The Lee heir says in a sing-song voice. This makes Yuna tighten her grip on the floor out of anger. “You bitch.” She spits angrily making Chaeryeong giggle. “Yuna-yah, you’re a baby you can’t be saying these things.” She teases which further pushes Yuna’s patience.
“You piece of—!”
Suddenly, a yell echoes in the hallways to the right. “KIM YUNA! REMOVE THIS MAKEUP RIGHT NOW OR ELSE I SWEAR TO GOD!”
Other yells could also be heard from the hallways to the left. “YOU DID NOT JUST PUT SLIME IN MY BAG YOU BITCH!”
The student and his friend turn to meet eyes and sigh, clearly tired of experiencing this almost every single day for the entirety of their school life.
“Another normal day?”
“Another normal day.”
