Summary
Walter O'Brien leads an above average life, even for being a vampire. He's a genius, as quite a few vampires are, and he leads a team of vampires who also have high IQ's. Even before he knew he was a vampire, he was a million miles from normal due to his intelligence, but now, he's practically given up hope of ever being considered normal.
But then, by some stroke of luck, he meets a mortal named Paige and her genius son Ralph, who is just beginning to undergo the changes that will eventually make him a full vampire.
Walter wants to mentor Ralph so that he can face his changes without fear and teach him how to be a responsible genius vampire, but Walter might just learn a thing or two from Paige about being human in the process.
