Dreamers Daily Lives Part 1

Summary:

And this is the next series that will take over! This one will also be updated twice a week too. This is an entirely new series that I based on my friend group growing up from middle school to high school in years 2010 to 2019. So, hopefully, it will feel like a blast from the past. Either way, it is different, so enjoy!

Chapter 1: Soren

Chapter Text

First day of school in the 5th grade and I get to be with my friends again. I had my journal with me. I love writing about other characters and my friends together with them. It’s fun and everyone seems to be happy about it! However, I wonder if that new girl will come to our school? She seemed happy to be with Lina and Paige and she seemed to know LoganS somehow. I think she’ll fit in just fine and she is kind of cute. Anyway, later on that day, everyone went to their first period class and I saw her again! She had a purple notebook with her, but she headed for the science room while I had to go to the History room. History wasn’t so bad, I had Jay and Ben with me. Typical first day though. We were introduced and then we went off to our next two classes. After that, I went to break, well, I went to the lunchroom really. I bumped into the girl without knowing it.

“Ow!” we both said.

She looked up and then at me as she said, “Oh I’m sorry!”

She began to collect her things and I helped her, but I was a bit sad that she didn’t remember me from her visiting day.

“Hey, do you remember me?” I asked her shyly.

She looked at me closely, gasped, and she said “Yes I remember you! You’re the boy who had a journal and who wrote similar ideas to mine! I’m Nina”

“I’m Soren. Hey if you want, I could show you around the school”

“Sure! We’ll met at the locker bay area, ok?”

“Got it!”

Nina took off for Spanish class while I went to math class. However, when I opened the door to my locker, a dark hand grabs me, and pulled me into a quiet town! Little did I know, this was the day that my life would change forever. Though I am getting ahead of myself. I should go back to the day I stumble upon the Journal. I was 5 years old and I was an only child, so I was really alone. I didn’t meet any of the Dreamers, Descendants, or Protectors or my classmates yet. I was actually very shy.

“Soren, don’t you want to make any friends?” my dad constantly asked when I was young.

I shrugged and then I walked to my room and played with my action figures. My parents wanted me to meet some friends and go outside but at the time, I was just content with being myself. I walked some Pokemon shows and other cartoons. I loved watching game trailers, but my mom said I was too young to play games yet. I had to wait until I was 7. That didn’t mind me much. Kindergarten had started up and I brought my school supplies along with me stuff Link doll. The other kids here had become friends already, but no one wanted to be friends with me. I was fine with that at the time, because I had my Link doll still. I would play with him all the time. My parents had received word from my teacher saying that my grades were good, but I was so quiet in class and very shy from people. My parents wanted to fix that with me.

“Soren don’t you want friends?” asked my mom kindly one day.

I shrugged and I played with Link.

“Soren, dear, can you please tell me if you want friends or not?” she asked me again.

I spoke quietly “Not really”

My mom sat next to me and hugged me.

“Do you remember Auntie Caroline?” she asked me.

I nodded. She was kind to me and gave me many gifts hen holidays came around.

“Well she was my best friend for a long time” she said as she strokes my head softly.

I looked at her with wide eyes. I didn’t really know best friends could be friends that long.

“Soren, please promise me you’ll find friends and that you’ll have a lot of fun adventures with them, ok?” she asked me.

It was such a strange request when I heard that when I was 5 but I was almost 6. The next few weeks went by and I was still with my Link doll. I had made no friends so far and Kindergarten year was almost over. I had waited for my friend, but none came.

“Hey! Stop!” shouted a girl in distress.

I looked up and saw Sarah being harassed by some bullies. I had to do something, and her friend Mira was trying to stop them while Todd was being a coward. I had walked over to the bully quietly. I gave my Link doll to Mira to hold and then I stared at the bullies.

“Please leave them alone” I said to them.

They began to pick on! I was freaking out a bit, but Todd, Mira, and Sarah were still scared. I had to do something, so I bite his hand! The bullies let go of me and they ran away crying.

“Thank you!” said Mira as she hugged me.

“Yeah you were great!” said Todd Mira gave me my Link doll back.

I looked at them and then Mira asked, “Hey do you have any friends?”

I shook my head which shocked them!

“Well you could be our friend!” said Todd.

I beamed at them “Really?!”

They smiled and nodded. We hanged out for a long time and then when Kindergarten year ended, we still hanged out over summer! It was so fun! Next year, I was in the same class with Todd, but he was friends was LoganS and he hanged out with him more while Sarah and Mira were in one class together. I was fine with being just there with Todd and LoganS. However, I was about to make a friend very soon.

I saw a boy with a Gameboy, and he was playing Pokémon Ruby. I wanted that game so bad and it looked so cool to me! I had walked to him and I sat next to him with my Link doll.

“Hey that’s a cool game! What’s your favorite starter?” I asked him.

“Mudkip” he said to me.

I liked Mudkip and then I kept asking him questions.

He got annoyed and then he asked for my name and he noticed that I had a Link doll.

“I’m Soren! I like those kind of video games too! What’s your name?” I said to him.

“I am Connor” he said to me.

We hanged out together for a very long time. I introduced him to Sarah, Mira, and Todd. We hanged out for a while but most of the times it was Connor and me. One day my mom had taken me to the bookstore. She I heard so much about my friends from me and Auntie Caroline.

“Here Soren, why don’t you pick something from here?” she said to me sweetly.

I walked around the bookstore and I saw a Journal. I had made up my mind. I decided to write about my friends in a story! I handed the Journal to my mom and she looked at it and me. She knew it was kind of old looking but she bought it for me.

“Why did you buy this Journal?” she asked me as she paid for it for 12 dollars and 25 cents.

“Because it reminds me of my friends, and I want to remember them forever!” I declared to her.

I didn’t know the Journal’s true power until after I meet and became friends with the Dreamers. I was still happy that I had gotten to meet them, and my life had always been filled with fun adventures just like my mom promised me!
