“Levi hid it at first. He lied to himself, said it was fatigue from the stress of his recent mission, and he believed that for a while. When he started throwing up he told himself it was anxiety. The upcoming mission to retake Wall Maria was the most important expedition the Scouts would ever go on, and as Humanity’s Strongest Soldier, Levi had a lot of pressure on him to succeed.
In addition to his anxiety about his own health, his anxiety about the mission, he was scared for Erwin, too. The commander was wounded, disabled, he would never make it home! Levi had argued with him, threatened him, and finally begged him to stay, but Erwin refused. Levi had gotten sick not long afterwards.”
This fic was inspired by the lovely @cerasiumm on twitter. Ackermans fall ill when their host is close to death. Set before the return to Shiganshina, Levi keeps getting worse, and Erwin has to make a decision.
