Summary
In this AU, Daniel never receives his perfect second body, and instead his original, and only, body is the smaller, cute version of Little Daniel after he finished training with Sophia.
The fic begins just as he is arriving in Seoul to start his new life, and school, away from his past bullies. There he befriends both Zack and Mira early on, finding a warmer and more supportive beginning to his story.
And now that he isn’t relying on a flawless second body, Daniel learns to stand on his own in his new school and the challenges it brings. He stumbles into a mutual crush with a certain reserved, blond chaebol scion, gets “adopted” by some pretty big names, and gradually gathers a circle of loyal friends around him. Set in the same world but given a gentler twist, this story follows Daniel’s journey as he carves out a place for himself—just as he is. With a lot of the focus being on his developing relationship with Jay, and friendships with all the others. Daniel will be getting a lot of protective older brothers and sisters in this fic, and I have made it my mission to write a happier life for them all, with Daniel as the center piece.
