Chapter Text
Time has passed. Tim and Lucy have been sleeping together for almost 2 months now.
“Tim,Tim. Earth to Tim.” Lucy said while waving her hands in front of Tim’s face.
“I’m sorry, I'm just a bit lost. Can you repeat what you said?” Tim said very confused.
“I think I'm pregnant.” Lucy said. Clearly getting angry at Tim’s reaction.
“Are you sure?” Tim asked slowly.
“No, I'm not sure. But I am sure that I'm like clockwork. And now I'm late.” Lucy said angrily.
“Oh.” Tim barely was able to get that out.
“I tell you that I might be pregnant and all you say is oh? Really Tim?” She said angrily but it wasn’t anger in her eyes, it was hurt.
“I-I-I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to come out like that. I mean we’ve only been dating for like 3 months. I'm not really sure how to react to this.” Tim said. Lucy let out a relieved sigh.
“Me either. Not really how you imagined our date was going to end up like tonight did you?” She asked.
“Nope. Not really.” He said.
“I’m scared.” She said.
“I know, me too. Come here.” He said while bringing her in for a hug.
“What do we do if I am?” She asked.
“We do whatever you want. And whatever that is, I'm here for you.” He said with his soft comforting voice.
“Thank you.” She said quietly, still hugging him.
“So. Do you want to go find out if you are or what?” He asked with a small chuckle.
“Yeah, just let me hug you for another minute.” She said Tim had no intention of going anywhere.

“Which one?” He asked.
“They all do the same thing, I think the only difference is the price.” She said while browsing the pregnancy test aisle. Tim picked up the most expensive one and looked at Lucy.
“Better safe than sorry.” He said. Lucy let out a small nervous smile.
“My house or yours?” He asked.
“Tamara’s home. You want her to be nosy?” She asked with a small smile. Both of them are just trying to find the light in the situation.
“My house it is.” He said while both of them made their way to the cash register. He set the test on the counter and took out his wallet.
“It’s my test I can pay.” Lucy said while turning her Apple Pay on.
“Really? You want to argue about who gets to pay for the pregnancy test?” He asked. The teenage boy who was the cashier made an annoyed face.
“Your total is $21.39.” The cashier said. Lucy quickly tapped her phone while Tim was counting his money. When Tim noticed he rolled his eyes.
“Let’s just go home and take the test.” He said.

“I’ll order the food.” Tim said while logging into his grub hub account.
“And I’ll take the test.” Lucy said, making her way to the bathroom. Tim followed and stood outside of the door impatiently. Lucy came out and showed him her phone. There was a three minute timer.
“What if it’s positive Tim? Do you even want to have kids with me?” She asked while staring at the floor.
“Of course I do Lucy. Why would you even ask that ridiculous question?” He said while cupping her face into his hands making her face him.
“We’ve only been dating for three months, I would understand if you didn’t.” She said, tears about to fall from her face.
“Lucy, look at me. No matter the results, I will be happy.” He said reassuringly. “Follow me.” He said as he led her to his bedroom.
“What?” Lucy asked softly. Tim opened one of his dresser drawers open, it was empty except for a gift box.
“This drawer is for you, if you want it.” He said softly. He lifted the gift and handed it to her.
“A drawer for me?” She asked while a tear finally left her eye.
“Yeah, and a gift to go with it. Open it.” He said while handing her the gift. She took the gift and unwrapped it. She smiled and whipped the tear from her cheek. It was his favorite strawberry body mist she would wear. And a bundle pack at that. She let out a small laugh.
“A bundle pack huh?” She asked.
“I said I would get it for you. Now you can keep one here.” He said. But before she could respond her phone timer went off. They both froze.
“Lucy, no matter what it says. I’m happy and I’m here for you.” He said.
“Thank you.” She said before they both turned back and went to the bathroom. Lucy’s shaky hand reached out to grab it, she flipped it over to find the test answers.
Negative.
Lucy let out a small sigh along with Tim. They both felt almost…..sad.
“You're happy no matter the results right?” She asked while looking up at Tim. Fighting back tears.
“Yeah.” He said in a sad tone.
“This test though. It helped me realize that I do want it someday. Maybe not right now but soon.” Lucy said, trying to read Tim’s face.
“Yeah?” He asked, a small smile forming on his face.
“Yeah.” She said while nodding, a smile forming on her face as well.
Maybe one of the most interesting dates they’ve ever gone on. But they did find clarity.
