Summary
Upon being summoned to a fantasy world as the Shield Hero, college student and run-of-the-mill otaku Naofumi Iwatani was tasked with investigating a supposed monster outbreak that occurred in the demi-human country of Siltvelt. However, by the time he reached his destination, Naofumi and his demi-human partner Raphtalia discover that Siltvelt has become the primary homeland of the Beast Digimon tribe, who are now bent on the destruction of the corrupt human kingdom of Melromarc.
As a result, Naofumi finds himself joining forces with the creatures from the Digital World.
