In the half-dark room, where white butterflies were circling, a high-ranking man entered. The light fell down through the small window and formed a circle in the middle of the gloomy room, where the villain stepped.
"I feel mistrust, fear, and guilt," said Hawk Moth in an even and cold tone. "Painful emotions mixed with despair and dishonor rage in you, my darling. Your best friend disowned you, completely unaware of how fragile and delicate your heart is."
At that moment, a butterfly flew up to the man and landed on his palm. Hawk Moth accumulated dark energy, which he transferred to his subject.
"Let's fly, my little akumo, and make her evil," the villain spoke in the same cold and heartless clear tone and released a dark butterfly from his hands, which flew out through the open window.
Somewhere on the other side of Paris, a girl was sitting on a cobblestone. She sat and cried.
Today was the costume festival, in which Sabrina and Chloe participated. They had been preparing for this event for almost a whole month. Chloe specially ordered a snow queen costume, and Sabrina made a cat costume for herself.
Time passed quickly. Sabrina didn't really want to participate in the festival. She just had to support her friend.
And so it happened that their names were announced at the final stage. Sabrina was very nervous before the final performance, but the biggest blow for her was, when Chloe took out her rage on her in a vicious and cruel way. The girl couldn't go on stage of her own free will, so that she would be disqualified. And it was at that crucial moment that her friend said a bunch of disgusting words to her. And Sabrina had to not just leave, but ran headlong from that ill-fated festival, with tears in her eyes, without looking back. She ran forward, not noticing anything and no one around her.
A sense of guilt settled deep in her chest. She always yielded to her friend, always and everywhere supported her, without thinking about herself. And now Sabrina received only anger and malice towards her, a bunch of disgusting and insulting words, that hurt her heart.
She found herself far from the competition, but she didn't ask herself this question, until she tripped and fell to the pavement. Sabrina beat her knees. Under the black pantyhose was a red blush from the inflammation.
The pain was able to bring the girl back to her senses a little. She recovered a little. But not for long.
Left to sit on the cold pavement, Sabrina pulled her legs up to herself, cringing. She couldn't control the tears that flowed from her. And Chloe's cruel words were constantly in her head.
Sabrina had never been so broken and disfigured as she was now. A small heart fluttered annoyingly in his chest. Bitter tears left a burning mark on her cheeks.
She was unnecessary. Abandoned by everyone and left with her grief. Nobody needs Sabrina, who denied herself all her life in order to satisfy the wishes and whims of her friend Chloe, who didn't value her at all.
Life leaves a painful mark. Sabrina has no choice, but to cry, because no one understands her or tries to understand her. Sometimes she herself thinks that she doesn't exist. She only mattered, when Chloe asked her for something. And without her, she is a recluse, who is unable to manage her own life independently due to concessions.
Each tear was so burning and painful, that she could no longer see clearly. All the sounds and voices were mixed up in her head, but in the midst of them, Sabrina could make out only one that seemed to be speaking to her:
"What happened, kitten?" such a gentle and kind encouraging voice reached her ears.
She snorted. Her face went numb for a moment and Sabrina lifted her head up to look at the boy.
His face was so beautiful it took her breath away. Adrien looked at her with a warm and friendly look. His blond hair was a bit disheveled as usual. A bag was slung over his shoulder.
He sat down next to Sabrina and looked her over carefully, noting her bruised knees.
"Won't you tell me, Sabrina?" the boy asked her.
It really surprised her. No one had ever asked her so directly what happened. As a rule, no one wanted to talk to her, except Chloe. But Adrien...
She swallowed hard before speaking. Sabrina didn't know why, but she felt calmer. The pain subsided a little. And tears too.
"Today was a costume festival, in which Chloe and I took part," the girl admitted to him, "Yes, it turned out that we both made it to the final stage. And before each of us had to give a closing speech, Chloe told me all the bullshit. She shouted at me and I couldn't stand it, leaving the competition."
Then tears began to appear in her eyes again.
"Oh, calm down! I'm with you," Adrien encouraged her, touching her shoulder, "Chloe did you wrong, Sabrina. How could she offend you because of some ordinary competition? Is this how real friends behave?"
"I probably deserved it," she said in a tired voice, "Chloe just showed to me my place."
Adrien was a little annoyed by this.
"Perhaps, it's none of my business, but I believe that she is only using you for her own personal purposes. When she needs help, she always turns to you. When you disturb her, she always chases you away. Don't you think it's strange?"
"Perhaps," said Sabrina in despair.
"I'm just saying, that you need real friends, who appreciate you, Sabrina," Adrien said in a peaceful and calm tone.
"I was friends only with Chloe. I actually grew very attached to her,” Sabrina corrected herself, “But after what she said to me today, I'm not sure I can forgive her."
"You have every right to do that," Adrien supported her.
Sabrina somehow felt lighter. She felt a wave of care and concern for her. She was even more encouraged that it was Adrien and not someone else.
"Unfortunately, I didn't know anything about the competition and was preoccupied with various matters."
"It's okay," Sabrina answered calmly.
"It's your suit?" Adrien asked curiously, looking at the girl with undisguised curiosity.
"Yes," said Sabrina, "I prepared it for the competition. Do you like it?"
She looked hopefully at Adrien, looking for approval and compliments in his eyes. In that excited moment, Sabrina realized that she couldn't think about anyone but the boy sitting next to her.
"Or I like it?" he asked as if a rhetorical question. "You look stunning, Sabrina! No one probably told you, but you look very beautiful."
"Do you really think so?" at first she couldn't believe in the sincerity and frankness of his words.
On her head were cute fake ears, and her tight fur black dress emphasized her lithe and toned figure. A cat tail sewn to the dress trailed behind her.
"Actually, you look pretty even without that suit," Adrien said, turning to meet her moved eyes.
"For me better without clothes?" she was a little embarrassed.
"No, I didn't mean that," the boy blushed and nervously ran a hand through his blond hair,"I wanted to say, that you are always beautiful to me. It doesn't matter whether in casual clothes or a suit. I like you as a person. I know we don't talk much, but you'd probably like us to spend more time together like this."
"Thank you for your support, Adrien," she said brightly.
"You're an incredible beauty, Sabrina," Adrien addressed her devotedly, "Promise me never to cry again. It's not okay for such a beautiful girl to cry."
Sabrina smiled. Dragging in place, Adrien took out a clean handkerchief to remove the dried mascara on his cheeks and wipe away the wet marks. The girl was incredibly pleased. She liked his gentle and soft touches.
"Chloe insulted you because she had no chance to beat you," the boy said to her unexpectedly, "Because she will never be as kind and sensitive as you, Sabrina. She will not be as sensual and caring, ready to support and come to the rescue. You are wonderful! But you just don't know about it yourself."
"I'm very pleased, Adrien, that you think that way about me," Sabrina dared to say after a wave of slight discomfort.
"Tell me, surely deep in your heart you wanted to win the competition without involving Chloe in it?" Adrien asked her in a calm and balanced tone.
She felt a little embarrassed, but the truth really lay on the surface.
"Yes, I wanted it," answered the girl quietly, "If I had never been friends with Chloe, then I wouldn't have started playing nobility. I would even be able to swallow her insult because of my pride. And I would dare to go public. Because I really wanted it. However, now I see no point in proving anything."
"You don't need to," said Adrien gently, looking at her affectionately, "It's more important for me that everything is fine with you, Sabrina. So that you can smile and enjoy life. So that you never despair and never back down. It's important for me that you remain yourself and don't lose yourself, regardless of what someone says and thinks about you. So be yourself, Sabrina."
The girl had never felt like she did now. Her broken heart was mended anew, all cracks removed.
Adrien looked at her tenderly, sitting very close to her. It was even difficult to dream about such a guy. So many girls wanted to date with him, even Chloe. But Sabrina kept as far away from him as possible, trying not to cross.
According to the personality of her former friend, Sabrina was afraid to look at others, often imitating the wrong behavior, as if not accepting herself. However, she really wanted to be like other her peers: go with a group to the cinema or to the park, or to the museum and other interesting places, casually chatting and joking about all kinds of everyday topics.
And she carefully hide the feelings, that accumulated in her. Sabrina was afraid to say that she actually liked Adrien and wanted to spend all her time with him. She wrote down his name in her diary several times, but then tore out the pages with him, not believing that this could really be in this case.
She was incredibly embarrassed for reasons unknown to her, but her words came out accidentally without permission.
"Adrien, tell me, are you date with someone?" she asked quietly, almost immediately regretting that she had ventured on such a strange adventure.
The boy was a little confused by the question and thrown off track, but he answered as he thought was appropriate.
"Yes, I was incredibly in love with a girl before," he said with a hint of sadness, "Such as I was lucky to fall in love with a girl, who wouldn't be mine under any circumstances. So I had to accept, which is better for both of us. Mutual feelings could get in the way of our work."
Sabrina looked down sullenly, but the next moment she felt Adrien's touch on her arm.
His hand was incredibly warm and smooth, yet incredibly soothing. Little gentle touches conquered her heart.
"Almost then I thought that I would never be able to fall in love with anyone again," he suddenly said, looking into her eyes, "But the whole truth is that I'd like to date you, Sabrina. I would like to become someone important to you: an understanding classmate, a good and faithful friend, or a lover. You decide who we are for each other. The main thing is that you feel happy."
Then he fell silent. Sabrina carefully caught his every glance, happily accepting his touches. She found it funny that they were both sitting on the sidewalk as people walked by. She was in a funny costume, resembling a cat, and he was the most popular boy in school.
They were so different and at the same time so harmonious together.
"Kiss me, Adrien, please," Sabrina begged, making his gaze lock on her.
He carefully and smoothly touched her red hair with his right hand, soothingly stroking her fragrant locks, and with his left hand he first touched her shoulder, and then the contours of her face.
She breathed heavily and raggedly, longing for every next moment when Adrien would come closer to her, when their lips would finally meet in an incredible and passionate kiss.
Sabrina felt the anxiety lifted from her heart. Now this space was filled with a beautiful feeling and love for Adrien. Sadness and grief dissipated, and the pain was removed as if by hand.
He was gentle with her when he touched her. Adrien would have liked their intimacy to have happened at a different time and under different circumstances, but if it weren't for an unfortunate twist of fate, they would have continued to pass each other by as if they were far away. She would hide and be afraid to take a step, cursing her feeble-mindedness, and he would surround himself with numerous people, not noticing her in the crowd.
Sabrina touched his lips, feeling how nice and soft they were. Adrien answered her. Each of his actions was embodied in accordance with the sincerity of her desires and needs.
"AHH! It's so good!" she said, when the air ran out of her chest from the long and unbroken kiss.
"I like you, Sabrina," Adrien replied with a smile, "All my feelings are true for you."
"I love you, Adrien," she answered a little excitedly, realizing how red paint was overflowing in front of him.
"I love you too, Sabrina," he admitted. "This feeling couldn't be changeable. I deeply cherish you in my heart."
After that, he kissed Sabrina again, running one hand down her back and gently touching her hand with the other.
At a critical moment, the spell of suffering was dispelled.
In the half-dark room, the man lowered his head, realizing that his plan had failed.
"No! This cannot be!" he said in a cold and angry tone. "The guy's pure feelings for this girl were able to save her. And why does love always win? My little akuma couldn't subdue her."
Hawk Moth clenched his teeth in displeasure. There were quite a few butterflies flying inside, and the one he released earlier had lost dark power. And this happened many times, but this time the bad thing was that Ladybug and Chat Noir didn't interfere at all in the course of events. And Hawk Moth lost every time. Countless times, each time swallowing defeat after defeat, in the endless struggle between good and evil.
"Can you stand up?" Adrien asked with concern.
"Yeah, I guess so," Sabrina said as the boy, who helped her to her feet.
Her face was flushed with a blush, and her chapped lips retained a sweet taste.
"You make me feel happy, Adrien," she admitted, then snuggled up to him in a hug.
She had never felt so good. Sabrina wanted this happy moment to last for her and Adrien for a long time and for their feelings to only grow stronger for each other.
