Summary
As cool and exciting as the first Quirks were, some wanted to use their powers for evil, and they plunged the world into chaos. But from that chaos, one man emerged: All as One, a hero with the power to give and take quirks at will. He stabilized the entire world almost by himself, amassing an unstoppable arsenal of Quirks by either taking them from those who would misuse them, or being gifted them by those who were no longer in a condition to use them effectively. And he’s spent the past century or so as Japan’s undisputed number one Hero, saving everyone with a smile. Of course, Shigaraki Tomura had something of a unique perspective on all of that, given that All as One was his dad, and all he wanted was to make him proud by becoming a Hero who saved people with a smile, just like him.
Essentially, this is every "What if X was a villain?" fic taken to its logical extreme. Every Hero is a Villain, and every Villain is a Hero.
