How do you know if what you’re doing is wrong when everyone tells you that it’s right?
Peter Parker has been specially trained to kill ever since he was a kid without ever questioning it. That is, until he reached the age of ten and May taught him what was right and wrong before she died from a bullet to the heart, from his father’s gun. All because May too soft, because she ruined a weapon and dulled its edge. Gave it a conscience and that was, apparently, a sin.
Her teachings took root, he sees what - or rather who - his parents are and what he’s been doing all these years and Peter hates(not) her for it, hates her because she taught him there’s always a way out but he can’t find one, because his hands are already filthy and there isn’t a way for him to atone.
And then he remembers that there’s someone out there who can bring his parents down. Someone equally filthy who would find no hesitation on pulling the trigger.
His rope, in the form of one Tony Stark.
