Summary
He placed a hand on the small of Loki’s back to guide him down the long corridor. Loki felt heat bloom at the base of his spine and rise to his cheeks. Toward the end of the long corridor, Mobius slowed and then stopped in front of a column of three glowing cubes. The plaquard beneath the cube in the middle had the words “MOBIUS M. MOBIUS” printed in lifeless block lettering.
Mobius patted the front of the cube in a mock show of pride. “Home sweet home.” He tapped his badge on the bottom corner of the cube and it flashed green before opening on a hinge to reveal a small pod. It was about one meter square and ran two meters deep, just enough room to fit a thin padded mattress.
Loki’s mouth worked for a moment, but no sound came out. At length, he managed to spit out an incredulous, “You can’t be serious.”
