Robin stands up, his hands sweating and his heart racing. His gaze never strays from the golden heart dangling from her neck, and shaky fingers grab it with as much delicacy as he can muster. One last glance at her trusting, sleeping face shoots a spike of guilt into his heart, but he braces himself and opens it.
'Click'—it's almost deafening.

As a Robin complainer, this fic has made me heavily empathize with them, which surprised me! Their position in this story is so relatable in a way that any person who is close to someone, seeing the red flags and abuse from their partner, could feel what Robin is going through. I find this fic very tragic and heartbreaking. For better or worse this fic being left on a cliffhanger I don’t know.
