Chapter Text

Elizabeth kept telling herself that she didn’t care. That the feeling that made her insides curl was not worry. But, she couldn’t help glancing at the calendar, a door that stayed closed as time continued on. Life continued like he just locked himself in his room after a fight with Daddy. But this time, there wasn’t pouty steps coming down for dinner. No slouching in a chair with Daddy shot glares. Mikey wasn’t here. She didn’t hear breathing behind his door. There was no pouty steps.

Elizabeth took a deep breath, looking back at the Circus Baby plush in her hands. Trying to focus on that instead, she really wished she got a chance to play with her once. But Daddy stopped working on her, due to problems he said. Elizabeth stopped asking after Evan’s birthday. He’s been coming out more often, she’s happy about that. They haven’t been allowed to play outside of their rooms since Mommy left. But Daddy let them again. He’s been nice lately, maybe Mikey was the problem the whole time.

That was easier to think than wondering where he was. If he was okay. If he felt bad, he looked like he felt sick the last time she saw him. Which was before Daddy took him to fix him. Elizabeth told herself she didn’t want him back. Daddy was happy, like when he had Mommy. Maybe if Mikey left earlier, Mommy wouldn’t of left at all. Maybe she’d come back now. She wasn’t sure, Mommy hasn’t called once. She promised she would. She lied, just like Daddy said she was. A liar, like Mikey. Mikey was close to her, maybe that’s why Mikey’s a monster. Because he was Mommy’s. Elizabeth was happy she was Daddy’s, and so was Evan.

They weren’t monsters, Daddy was nice. Especially now. He brought home ice cream the other day. Elizabeth’s eyes drifted to the kitchen doorway, they’d have it after dinner tonight. Elizabeth kinda wanted a scoop now. But she’d wait, she was a good girl. Good girls are patient. Daddy said she and Evan were good. And Elizabeth didn’t want to be a Mikey. Mikey was mean, mean to Evan, Daddy didn’t like him. Elizabeth always used to wonder why. Now she knows, Daddy knew. Daddy knew Mikey was trouble, that’s why he was so mean to Mikey.

Elizabeth knew that Daddy did everything he could. Mikey was stubborn, he didn’t want to be fixed. And Mikey was mean. Even… even if he used to sneak them treats. Elizabeth frowned at that thought. He used to sneak them ice cream after Mommy and Daddy went to bed, when they were yelling. He fixed Mr. Fredbear once, after Mommy left. It must of been a trick. Mikey wanted them to be bad kids too. That must be it. Mikey was bad, he hurt Evan. Elizabeth didn’t feel bad. At least that’s what she kept telling herself.

Notes:

I'm bored, have a smallest scrape of motivation. Have this trashy chapter where I take a part Elizabeth and her possible thought process.
