Summary
To love is to admit that one day you will mourn the person that you've devoted yourself too. The vows always end with 'til death do us part', but in the moment nobody understands what that really means. The burden of the world is heavy, oppressive even, and to support that as a child even more so. Leon believed he had shed that life long ago when his world was destroyed and he arrived in Radiant Garden. By some miracle, or perhaps curse, he is forced back into the role of "Squall", digging up bodies that were long buried and secrets he had suppressed. The storm rolls in, a fitful burst of rain, and holding the umbrella is his cloudy companion. Chained together by fate, trapped in a world that shouldn't exist, they run together on borrowed time unsure of how to explain themselves or how to hide their truth. When the apocalypse comes, Leon is faced with a choice. To return to being "Squall" and face the storms of friends that he never fully mourned, or to keep being "Leon" and come face to face with the reality that he no longer can pretend this isn't love.
