   Summary

   Izuku Midoriya has never really considered himself brave.
   Sure, he gets into situations and makes it back out, and he charges into fights he really has no business interfering in, but that’s just basic human decency, half the time. A mix of desperation and god knows what else.
   Izuku doesn’t think he’s particularly brave.
   Every night, he wakes up with a wild heart and gasping breath and he has to bite down hard to stop himself from screaming.
   Someone who’s brave wouldn’t be so damned scared all the time. Someone brave would stand up to fight instead of running away. Someone who’s brave wouldn’t still be caught up in old memories and nightmares.
   Midoriya Izuku isn’t very brave.
