Summary
There were many tales of both beasts and monsters that existed beyond the sheltered walls of the kingdom, and those who dreamt of gold and glory spent time training to find and slay them.
Then there were those desperate people, who had nothing left to lose and everything to gain from seeking the creatures who could lay waste to villages and towns without a second thought. That was the current position Dream found himself in.
The Red Dragon was large, fierce and powerful. It stole and hoarded gold, jewels and treasure of all kinds, nesting itself high upon a mountain and terrorising nearby villages. If Dream could bring back this beast’s head, then he would get all the attention he deserved, all the money he needed to finally do more than just survive.
taking a deep breath and swallowing shakily, he gripped his sword tighter and lept forward-
Tripping on a loose rock and falling backwards.
Fuck.
The eyes opened, and Dream was in awe for a few moments as he was met with deep fiery brownish-red eyes.
