Summary
He's just knocking it back, gratefully taking a swallow, when one of the girls looks up and shrieks NO so loudly he can feel the entire common room turn to look at them. Annie's hands fly to her mouth and all Louis can do is stare at her, cup still in his hand, the taste of something that is decidedly not water in his mouth and all she does is stare back equally in shock, just the two of them, staring at each other.
“Oh my god,” gasps her friend (... Sarah?) who had been staring at her in confusion, “Was that-?”
“It was.”
“Was what?” asks Louis, feeling somewhat panicked.
“Oh my god!” shrieks the third girl, finally clocking, “The love potion.”Or, when Louis accidentally takes a love potion meant to make the taker head over heals for Harry Styles - his long term rival and someone publicly known to hate him, he expects to feel differently about the other boy. Only when the potion has no effect whatsoever he panics and begins the greatest performance of his life - apart from, maybe, pretending that this isnt how he's always felt.
