The Doctor had worn many faces, and had proven to be many things between them. An adventurer? Perpetually. A hero? Usually. Violent? Occasionally. Young? Not at all—much as some of his incarnations might have initially suggested far to the contrary. But it seemed like this mysterious new dimension would need many of these traits of his.
