Summary
Queen Rhaenyra has won the war of succession to the Iron Throne and reigns happily with her husband, Lord Cregan Stark. Peace has blanketed the entirety of the Seven Kingdoms. War will never touch its shores again under the Queen's reign, but her political headaches are more than plenty. All of which are attributed to her granddaughter, Princess Daenaera and her nephew, Maegor. The only living son of Prince Daemon and his Dornish paramour.
The love that brewed between Daenaera and Maegor was evident, but the man was too stubborn to accept his own emotions. And so, Rhaenyra toyed at them likes pawns in attempts to incur a love confession that would save Daenaera from a loveless marriage to some fat river lord.
"You are to wed Lord Loreon Lannister and give end to the scandals that follow you." The Queen commanded.
Daenaera's eyes reddened with tears, glancing at her parents for help. "Loreon Lannister? His father supported the Usurper against your claim, and his house is to be rewarded with a marriage?"
"Unless you have a more suitable husband, dear girl. You are to perform your duty to the stability of the crown and wed."
