Summary
There were other tanks here, but none housed their own species.
The beings on two legs come through the weird square hole that was always blocked by something very strong to leave them food on the platform during scheduled feedings.
They didn’t like the sharp things they were poked with every few months, but the vaccinations were necessary to keep them healthy.
Life was simple in this place, but they both instinctively knew that something that neither could control was steadily approaching them very soon.
