Summary
Clone Force 99 died on Kamino.
That’s what everyone believes, at least. But though the Bad Batch makes their escape from the Empire, it isn’t without the heavy cost of losing one of their brothers.
Two years later, Cody lands at a research base on Nevarro. While he tries to focus on his duties, there’s no ignoring the little boy named Four on the base. Whether it’s that Four’s appearance is so close to that of a clone cadet or the way that he looks at Cody (as if he knows Cody and is extremely disappointed by his presence), there’s something drawing Cody to the boy.
Secrets surround Four, deeper and darker than Cody could have ever suspected. To ask questions is treason, but with a little boy’s life on the line, Cody will push against his blind obedience to the Empire. Answers lay just in reach, if only Cody will be bold enough to face his own past for the future of his brothers.
