Let the Sun Eclipse You (Chase Your Dreams, and Remember Me)

Summary:

When Phil had finished his task they switched spots; Techno’s turn to preen his grand crowfeather wings of any broken feathers and realign miniscule hooks with precise movements. It was a treasured routine they both enjoyed immensely, those soft few moments at sunrise and sunset were precious times of kindness only warriors who knew each other for centuries would bear witness too.

It didn’t matter the location, dimension, era they lived in, this time was their shared happy place. These small moments of gentle touch were used to ground their hearts and speak of anything that troubled them, with the shared trust neither would ever divulge what the other confessed. But this morning was not one that began in strife so instead they basked in the other’s careful ministrations as Techno works away plucking molted feathers away and letting them fall to the ground to be swept up later.

My first piece for the Voices for the Blade event 2025, a soft fluff piece about origins!Emerald Duo caring for one another and a typical day in the life story for these tired warriors finally getting their slice of life moment.

Work Text:

Shipwreck in a sea of faces

There's a dreamy world up there

Dear friends in higher places

Carry me away from here

Travel light, let the sun eclipse you

'Cause your flight is about to leave

And there's more to this brave adventure

Than you'd ever believe

A clear sky slowly wakes the world below, rising above a collection of buildings forming a small town that varies wildly in style around a flowing river that provides a soothing rush of water as ambiance. Each soul below the bright morning sun slumbers peacefully away, snuggled up tight in their resting places of choice as the dawn light washes across their open shutters and caverns they call home.

Things move slowly here, much to the delight of those who inhabit this settlement, with friendly gatherings happening frequently and neighbours open to help anyone who needs it. Favours were exchanged and deals were struck to make things easier for all involved, including efforts to make every space accessible for those who live within this biome.

This world was a special one, where each soul who appeared was given the choice to become a hybrid of a monster species that terrified them at night or in caverns which gave them certain benefits and features. Aspects that varied wildly from being far below average height, to the quickness of a fox, breathing underwater and even wings gained to give the power of flight permanently.

A crow and a human rested together in the crow’s nest within the attic of the Pub the blonde avian hybrid was constructing as a main social hub for everyone around them. The only sound around them were birds chirping between the deep snores of the human within his embrace, Phil slowly awakening while enwrapped in the peace of his dear friend.

The blonde is already planning a lazy morning ahead, having nothing to rush for today meant they were going to take things as they came. Something that wasn’t unusual for them here, despite being centuries long warriors they hadn’t needed to use those conflict skills during their time upon this world. Of course they kept up with their training and sparred often, many of their companions still enlisted their help in perfecting their own skills they may need in battle later.

Yawning, Phil lets out a soft groan feeling ancient aches wake up too, wincing as his shoulder twinges from some wound he forgot exactly how he obtained but it liked to bother him on occasion. Centuries alive meant there were countless injuries both he and Technoblade still felt the repercussions of, weaknesses they only shared with each other as the trusted other half of their heart.

Phil’s blue eyes slowly flutter open, smiling at how relaxed Techno appears where he is wrapped in one of the crow’s grand wings coloured the same as a pitch-black night. Iridescent feathers gleamed in the dawn sunlight peeking through their window nearby, his own shine matching the sheer amount of golden jewellery Techno wore even while in slumber.

It's hard swallowing back the paranoia that many years of living brings, especially through wars and other dangerous events which could have been their end many times over. Even as the Goddess’s Blade and Angel of Death, there were always limits to how far they could go.

Yet here…there hadn’t been anything even remotely close to the cataclysms they have survived. Here it was small disputes and pranks, not blood and death.

The emerald that hung from Techno’s ear caught the bright sunlight as he adjusted himself closer to Phil, his breathing quickening indicating he was soon to rise. Phil feels the weight of his own piece of matching golden-gilded precious gem resting against his neck, shifting his wings to a more comfortable position.

“Morning Techno.” Phil offers softly, Techno’s only answer being a tired groan. “I know mate, I feel it too. Might be expecting some rain soon, but today it looks lovely outside.”

Which was true, the blue sky above had giant fluffy clouds of pure white, no indication of grey threatening precipitation upon them all. “—t’s too early.”

Phil can only chuckle, fond of how soft and sluggish his longtime companion was in the warm sun of a slow morning. Brushing some of Techno’s hair back, he reminds himself to give them both trims soon spotting the frayed ends of Techno’s waist-length lotus-petal tipped tresses.

“All that’s on the list today is checking in on our gardens…” Another noise of annoyance interrupts Phil causing him to giggle before continuing. “But I suppose we can lay here just a bit longer.”

Techno nuzzles his head into Phil’s collarbone with a contented sigh, drifting off once more as the blonde crow reflects on the lives they have led together. Moons ago they received a Goddess’s blessing that protected their flesh from age and allowed them to move across dimensions with the minor consequence they must follow the rules of whatever world they spawned into when they chose to take their next journey.

Phil had to admit he was surprised when Techno opted into his human side here, losing the netherborn characteristics as long as they resided within these borders. For so long he wore his piglin features with pride, but he expressed here he wanted to be just a normal man for a while. Though Phil questioned his choice internally, he would always support his best friend’s decisions and simply enjoyed the fact this realm was one they would spend together.

Another hour passed before Phil finally convinced Techno to get up, they helped each other crawl out of the giant warm nest of feathers and sticks covered by a crocheted blanket their nearby enderman gifted them into the clear and cool morning air. Stretching, Techno frowns as his tangled hair falls into his face and simply looks so disgruntled Phil can’t help but chuckle as he leads his friend to the wooden chair nearby and grabs their comb made of engraved bone.

With a rhythm that spoke generations of practice, Phil begins to tend to Techno’s tresses with gentle brushes of the comb. Avoiding his earrings, Techno rubs the sleep from his crimson eyes as Phil hums a song from long ago in a language no one here spoke that came from a dimension of endless space and draconic power where his wife resides.

Feeling like taking extra care today, he weaves three small braids with golden chains and small loops of the precious metal throughout down the left side of Techno’s scalp showing off his emerald earring before gathering the rest at the nape of his neck. Separating three groups of the silky strands he makes quick work of knotting them together into a thick braid that brushes Techno’s tailbone at its end, tying it all together with a sunflower-yellow ribbon. His light pink hair glimmered in the sun with streaks of silver throughout that only added to the beautiful tones the warrior was quite vain about.

After Techno finishes they do just that, clearing up their room before they eventually leave for downstairs where Phil assembles them a wonderful breakfast while Techno brews them both tea. Distant shouting outside tells them that their fellow members of this world were slowly waking up, as they ate the first meal of the day on the front porch they exchanged good mornings with whoever wandered by.

Birds-eye view, awake the stars

'Cause they're all around you

Wide eyes will always brighten the blue

Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery

'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high

So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind

And take to the sky (you take to the sky)

The late morning hours find them washing up after breakfast before dressing for the day ahead, wrapping themselves in comfortable airy robes before making their way outside. A crop field waves in the gentle breeze, greeting them as they approach with large wicker baskets ready to harvest the produce that was fully-grown. Techno adjusts his wide-brimmed straw hat with a wide yawn, rolling up his sleeves as Phil makes his way over to the carrot plants as they were the first thing on the list to gather for tonight’s supper.

Their meal this evening was going to be a shared one, having invited their neighbours over for a small gathering they planned to have by the river so Niki could join too. Everyone was going to bring a side or dessert, with Phil and Techno claiming responsibility for the main dish which they intended to make a carrot ginger soup for.

The pair of warriors make quick work of picking the amount of carrots they need, brushing off the soil that still clung to the root vegetables Techno admires a particularly healthy orange crop in the bright sunlight. “I am glad we are making soup tonight, I had a craving for carrots.”

“I swear mate, you were a rabbit in another life.” Phil chuckles, tossing a glance at his lifelong companion. “Should I start calling you Bunnyblade?”

“Shut up, old man.” Techno sticks his tongue out, barely holding back the smile at the jokes they exchange. “What else do we need for our dish?”

“Yellow onion, garlic, and ginger for our fresh ingredients, the rest I believe we have stored back at the pub.”

Techno locates the onion they need while Phil takes care of the garlic and ginger, piling it all into the same wicker basket nearby before covering it with a cloth as they attend to the rest of their duties.

The sun slowly rises higher in the sky as they spend the remaining part of their morning picking out pesky weeds and watering their crops that still need more time to grow. Their patch was quite bountiful by now, between the pumpkins and melons all the way to beets they had a whole variety of species they attended too.

Phil takes a moment to stretch out his sore muscles as they are finishing up the tasks they had to attend to, admiring the determined look upon Techno’s face as he carefully tends to their garden patch. For palms that were so stained with ancient blood he handled each crop gently and with practised precision, hands training to kill dutifully attending to the chores surrounding cultivating life.

The blonde was a lucky crow, and in these moments he was reminded exactly why. They had both been through many hard times together but they always emerged stronger and nothing would ever separate them. Sure they had arguments and disagreements, and occasionally they would spend a lifetime apart but regardless of that they would always be each other’s home and heart.

Phil was also grateful this was a world that didn’t have bloody conflict attached, allowing them this brief respite of rest and kindness shared between alike souls.

Techno spends the rest of their time in the patch gathering other vegetables and fruits that were ready to be picked, some they would be dividing out to preserve later. Phil intended to make some jams tomorrow with a mixture of the berries held within Techno’s basket, between the sweet strawberries and bitter blackberries they would have a good variety to choose from.

Finishing their duties they water their crops, gathering pails from the river after wishing Niki a good morning to pour on the dry soil between their plants. Then, putting their tools away they close the gate that protects their garden and begin their journey back to the pub when they are interrupted by other members of the realm around them.

On the heels of war and wonder

There's a stormy world up there

You can't whisper above the thunder

But you can fly anywhere

Purple burst of paper birds

This picture paints a thousand words

So take a breath of myth and mystery

And don't look back

“GET BACK HERE!!!” An inchling covered in royal blue tones chases a fox hybrid across their path, the redheaded vulpine with silver streaks through his appearance chuckling as he runs away clutching something close to his chest.

Techno reaches out to steady the crow as they nearly bowl him over, tossing a glare at the pair who slow their pursuit when they realise what they have done.

“Fundy, what did you steal?” Phil narrows his sky eyes upon the mischievous fox whose tail was flicking with amusement, Sneeg glaring up at the taller man with a trident clutched in his gloved hand.

“Nothing!” Fundy is quick to respond, which the moth lets out a growl as a reply. “Okay fine, maybe a potion.”

“One potion?” Sneeg accuses, Fundy’s grin growing wider.

“Okay, maybe more than one.”

“How about no less than five, at least that’s what we witnessed.” Buzzing announces the next group to join the conversation, a trio who had clearly been watching the interaction from a distance before deciding to come over. Tubbo is the one who spoke first, followed by Ranboo and Tommy who trail behind caught up in their own chat before they turn to the warriors they now have as company. “Tricksy bastard, this one.”

Fundy can only smirk, being sure to take a step back from Sneeg’s silent approach as glass collides within his backpack the fox was protecting. “I don’t know the exact number of bottles I have…”

“That’s a lie.” Sneeg is quick to cut him off, Phil and Techno sharing tired yet fond expressions before the crow interjects.

“How about this, give Sneeg his potions back or your dinner invitation will be revoked.” Fundy’s stricken expression is answer enough, rolling his sharp gaze he reaches into his knapsack and hands over the seven potions he stole. “There we go.”

“Thanks Phil.” Sneeg addresses the blonde, who waves it off, before he turns back to the fox. “Just ask to trade next time man, we can work out a deal.”

“But where’s the fun in that?” The fox’s response makes everyone chuckle, Tommy reaching over to clap him on the shoulder.

“I agree, let’s steal something tomorrow, Fundy.” Tommy conspires, Fundy nodding aggressively is all the answer he needs.

“If you steal anything from the pub I will kick your ass.” Phil points at the mischievous pairing, who sigh.

“Like you could catch us.” Tommy fires back, which Techno takes a step towards when he replies.

“If he can’t, I will.” Tommy and Fundy exchange a glance at the pink-haired warrior’s tone, before they sigh.

“Fine, not the pub.” Fundy agrees, before he dramatically whispers to Tommy. “Definitely from the pub, cause it’s now a challenge.”

“Phil, after we eat dinner I might spend some time sharpening our swords and restringing your bow, I have good reason to believe we might need them soon.” Techno turns to his platonic partner with a wild smile, Phil can only let out a brash chuckle as he nods. “Perhaps we should also set up a trap or two in front of our valuables.”

“Don’t give away all our secrets mate, we must reserve some.” Phil playfully retorts, Techno nodding quickly as he drums his fingers together in a conspiring gesture.

“Clever as always, old friend.” Techno turns his appraising stare back on the young’uns before them which Tommy returns tenfold, this wouldn’t be the first time the blonde and warrior butted heads and it certainly wouldn’t be the last. “It won’t be that hard to trap a chicken though…”

“Hey!” Tommy snipes back with an acidic tone, Ranboo chuckling behind the blonde avian where they stood watching the exchange.

“You aren’t scary chicken-boy, not as much as you think you are.”

“He’s right.” Tubbo adds, unflinching and even grinning at Tommy turns his ire upon one of his best friends. “You are about as threatening as a baby chick. Maybe less so.”

Laughter breaks up the topic, anger melting away beneath the playful teasing banter they all shared as a love language. After the moment passes Phil clears his throat, addressing those nearby. “What are you bringing for tonight’s picnic?”

“Ranboo made the most delicious honey cookies the other day so we plan to spend today baking that recipe they crafted.” Tubbo answers, proud of his roommate nearby who is adorned in a beautiful amethyst gown.

“Especially after the sugar Sneeg gifted us, he has an abundance of the sweet ingredient after all.” Ranboo gives their thanks to the small moth where he now rested upon their thin shoulder, having been picked up by the enderman hybrid per his request.

“For no reason in particular, of course.” Phil chuckles, Sneeg’s prideful face answers enough.

“I have some sweetberry wine I’ve been brewing that I am going to bottle this afternoon. I've only sampled a bit but this might be my best batch yet.” Fundy announces, Phil’s own excitement growing hearing the prospective drink.

“Niki did ask me to bring a few specific things over from our garden patch for the salad she’s making so I am going to go do that, see you all tonight!” Techno salutes, picking up the basket of berries he starts his journey over to the river where the merling waited.

The afternoon passes quickly, Phil returning to their home to create then simmer the carrot ginger soup that he and Techno had perfected the recipe for. The pub fills with the decadent aroma of hearty food as Techno returns from giving Niki what she needs, helping occasionally stir the food between cleaning up their dishes Phil used for preparation. They work together like a decades-old dance, perfectly in tune with what their friend was doing while they attended to separate tasks up until the sun began to set.

Birds-eye view, awake the stars

'Cause they're all around you

Wide eyes will always brighten the blue

Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery

'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high

So bid the forest floor goodbye as you race the wind

And take to the sky (you take to the sky)

Carefully carrying the steaming pot down to the riverside, Phil’s joy increases tenfold seeing the gentle merling awaiting them with flowing rose-gold hair. At his side Techno toted  a basket where their dishware was held; an assortment of bowls, plates and cutlery they would use to serve this meal they had planned.

“Hello Phil and Techno.” She greets them with a small wave, Phil immediately feeling a sense of comfort with her presence.

“Hallo Niki.” Techno replies with the brightest smile while placing down the basket gingerly, pottery rattling together within. “Long time, no see.”

His joke brings about the intended effect, Niki’s musical giggle answers enough as the warriors work to spread out the classic crimson and cloud white checked blanket using rocks as weights on the corner. Setting a plate, bowl and utensils out for each member who said they would attend, they work in perfect tandem setting up for the event ahead including bringing a set over to where Niki rests by the riverbank upon a flat rock she could use.

Swishing her iridescent rose-pink tail, she hums softly to herself watching them work until they have set up what they need to for the night ahead. Phil acknowledges her want to help but knows the sweet soul is unable to leave the water due to the origin she chose, instead keeping them company with her song.

It's a comfortable bond they have, one that spans worlds was shared between this trio having spent many histories at each other’s side. Though she might not have the Blessing of the Goddess like the brothers-in-arms share, they did their best to protect her soul and memories while the Goddess turned a blind eye to their schemes.

“Who all said they were coming?” She asks Phil, whose closer as Techno greets the first people to show up.

“Basically everyone, Fundy even teased some wine he crafted and I believe Ranboo, Tubbo and Tommy are bringing baked goods.”

“Oh, how I miss baking…” Niki laments, furnaces didn’t exactly work underwater and this form she existed within couldn’t breath in the air.

“We can figure out a day, maybe when it's raining, and create a small station for you to use.” Phil offers, Niki flashing a grateful expression his way with a knowing glint to her mocha eyes.

“You just want my baked goods again.”

“Guilty.” Phil holds his hands up, both chuckling as Ranboo joins them. “Good to see you Ranboo, I hope the baking went well.”

“My kitchen is destroyed…so yes. But please never let Tommy invade your process, I am still not sure I will ever get the honey he spilled on my ceiling off.”

“On your ceiling?” Niki questions with a smirk, Ranboo rolling her ebony gaze.

“Tubbo and him got into an argument and there may have been a food fight, they told me they would clean it up tomorrow but I have little faith any cleaning will actually happen.”

“Put me in charge, I’ll make sure they get it done.” Techno jokes, Ranboo nodding along.

“Only if you feel like wrangling those two idiots, I won’t say no.”

“We don’t need no drill sergeant!” Tommy protests, overhearing the last part of the conversation as he joins them by the river.

“Aye, on that point we will disagree, chicken boy.” Techno banters with the sharp blue eyed teenager, who narrowed his gaze at the nickname. “You got trouble written all over you, I know when some discipline is needed after my eras training soldiers.”

“You need direction, Techno needs an outlet for ordering people around, I see two wins wrapped up in one here.” Phil adds while Niki nods, Tubbo staying oddly quiet while this conversation happens but he didn’t make any disagreements to the points given.

Sneeg and Fundy arrive then, breaking up the current topic but Phil kept catching glares sent from Tommy to Techno and each time it happened he chuckled. Though they would forever butt heads, those two personalities were much more alike than either would ever admit. Similar to the moth and fox who walked up still arguing, clearly rehashing the potion thieving from earlier in the day. Niki calls them both over to greet them and plays mediator as food is set up to be served to all in attendance.

Phil helps serve out portions of the soup while Techno doles out the salad, having brought warmed dinner rolls as well they offer one per plate. Their meal is shared alongside plenty of laughter and joy, the stars above slowly shimmering into existence as the sky darkens surrounding them heralding the arrival of their last guest, the moon. Plenty of glowing lanterns scattered about kept away the monsters while they were eating, once they were finished with dinner Ranboo and Tubbo hand out the honey cookies they brought and Fundy pours all who want some wine their portions into tall glasses that were the last to be uncovered from the basket that Techno held earlier.

Phil takes a brief moment to send a prayer to his wife, appreciating the peace that came with them living in this world. Their last server had been strife with conflict nearly every day they spent there, this one was a wonderful and needed opposite to bring harmony to their ancient hearts.

Techno, Tubbo and Sneeg end up working together to gather firewood and light a lovely campfire as the rest gather logs they can sit upon around the crackling flames. Sneeg produces a bag of marshmallows from his inventory while Phil runs to grab chocolate and graham crackers from the pub, the last things they need for roasting s'mores over the campfire.

The crow enjoys the comradery surrounding them, uncharacteristically silent as he reflects on their time here. Not that it was coming to an end, at least that they knew of, instead treasuring the kindness everyone gave each other and the endless forgiveness even in disagreements.

Techno leans his head into Phil’s shoulder who moves his wing and arm to enwrap his dearest companion ever closer, humming softly to himself watching each person interact in the circle around them. Ranboo, Tubbo and Sneeg were discussing their archery business while Tommy and Fundy totally weren’t planning a heist, suspiciously whispering traded between each other often while Niki’s eyes shine in amusement nearby as she listens in.

The wink she sends the crow’s way tells him there is indeed mischief being plotted, Phil trusts Niki well enough to know if she believes there is something he should know she will always tell him but for now it seems she was letting it play out.

Phil heaves a sigh, already mentally preparing to deal with some half-cocked scheme to infiltrate their pub tomorrow though he knew it wouldn’t make it that far, Techno was probably already planning to guard the door from dawn until dusk. The calculating look upon his partner’s scarred face said as much, pretending to play the part of being relaxed while still keeping constant vigilance. You may be able to take the warrior out of the conflict, but that would never remove the conflict from their heart, always waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Slowly a few by a few people start to retire for the night. Tubbo and Ranboo leave first, the enderman leaning heavily into the bee hybrid as they give a wide yawn, Techno promising to be by in the morning to help clean up their baking adventure. Tommy, Sneeg and Fundy go next, clearly still conspiring no matter how much they tried to hide it and somehow having brought the moth into their schemes.

“Worst plan I’ve ever heard.” Niki comments the moment the chicken, fox and inchling leave, her giggles echoing across the rush of water in which she resided. “You’ll catch them easily, I won’t even bother explaining cause I already know it won’t work cause Tommy will give it all away the moment you catch him. Fundy’s ability to turn invisible may cause you some problems but I know you will handle it. Sneeg is probably already planning to betray them to you, his loyalty to you is on the line after all.”

“What valuables do we even have for them to steal?” Techno questions Phil, who shrugs.

“I don’t know mate, we simply run the pub and that's it. Unless they want to take off with the miniscule profits we have, they gain nothing from this.”

“Good, good.” Techno smirks, Niki and Phil chuckling as the crow helps the pink-haired human pack up their picnic.

“Hope you had a good time, Niki.” Phil comments as they finish up, the merling nodding happily before she yawns.

“It was quite fun to see everyone and I very much enjoyed the campfire but I am also ready to retire to my cave and sleep.” Stretching her hands above her head quickly she flicks her mane of hair over her shoulder, letting herself sink into the water slowly as she finishes saying. “Thank you both for organising it, cannot wait to watch the shenanigans unfold tomorrow. Have a good night my dear friends, rest well!”

There's a realm above the trees

Where the lost are finally found

So touch your feathers to the breeze

And leave the ground

Phil secures the pub door behind the pair after they enter, without a word they split up to check the bottom floor is safe before going upstairs one after the other. The moon is nearly at its highest point by now as they lock up, Phil is the first one in their bedroom before Techno joins him after completing his nightly routine.

Techno leads his friend over to the chair nearby where he helps Phil preen quickly once more, careful to wipe the dust from the day off his glistening plumage by candlelight. His hands are quick yet gentle, precise with their practised movements that many a century together helped him perfect. After finishing that task he brushes Phil’s shoulder length golden tresses, careful to avoid his emerald earring they both wore.

When they switch it takes Phil longer to brush out Techno’s hair, his partner mumbling something about trimming it soon reminding Phil what he told himself this morning. “Perhaps after we stop whatever chaos Tommy and Fundy are planning we can take care of that.”

“Mmmm…sounds good.” Techno practically purrs under Phil’s touch, the crow giving a tired yet fond smile at his sleepy friend.

Techno practically falls face first into the nest when Phil finally declares his hair good enough, his antics making the crow laugh before he joins him after changing into the long robes he slept in. Tucking their crocheted blanket around them the pink-haired man snuggles into Phil’s side atop his wing once they are settled, Phil letting out his own yawn.

“After I remind the youngsters why they shouldn’t mess with us I want to have a sparring session, I have been feeling weaker as of late.” Techno comments quietly, his eyes still closed as they wind down for the night.

“Mate, I am pretty sure drunk you could still fight this entire server even if they teamed up together.” Phil’s confidence wasn’t misplaced, his warrior partner’s skills were legendary for a reason. Entire tides of war had shifted ambitions seeing the Blood God against them, a mere several people barely trained in warfare would be a cakewalk to the impressive warrior. “But I will absolutely tussle with you tomorrow, maybe you could make that Tommy and Fundy’s punishment is they have to train with you.”

“Oh Goddess, I think that would be more of a punishment for me.” Techno laughs, Phil agreeing with a grin. “It’s odd not having to prepare for battle or conflict though, I don’t know what to do with all this energy I have…”

“Boy, do I get that.” Phil thinks about the general paranoia he wore like a favoured sweater, unable to turn it down in any capacity he spent each day thinking the worst was coming. “Maybe after we stop their nefarious plans we could go out for a long adventure, just the two of us. Spend a few days travelling like we are used to, treat it as a bit of a release.”

“Sounds lovely, Phil.” Techno’s crimson eyes crinkled in the corner when he opened them to regard his lifelong friend. “What would I do without you?”

“I could throw that sentiment right back at you, I’d certainly be a lesser man if I didn’t know you. You are most of my impulse control after all.”

“True, we would have a much more fiery past if I didn’t remind you to calm down those tendencies. As a trade, you help me rein in my thirst for blood, each world we travel into should be grateful when we arrive together to keep ourselves in check.”

“Side by side, as it always should be.” Phil agrees, interlacing their hands together. “Warriors in arms until our hearts cease to beat, as I swore to you centuries ago and well into the future.”

“I am ever so glad I met you, Phil.”

“And I, you, Technoblade. To the ends of the world and beyond.”

“Always.” Techno yawns once more, letting his eyes fall closed once more. “Goodnight Phil, sweet dreams.”

“Goodnight, Techno.”

Birds-eye view, awake the stars

'Cause they're all around you

Wide eyes will always brighten the blue

Chase your dreams, and remember me, sweet bravery

'Cause after all those wings will take you, up so high
